Toyota's "Let's Go Places" Scholarships Bring Two More Aspiring Young Communicators to the  SEOPA Annual Fall Conference

Thanks to the forward-thinking and generous support of Toyota, two additional aspiring young communicators will attend the SEOPA conference each fall courtesy of the Toyota "Let's Go Places" scholarships. The same benefits and application processes apply as listed for the Lindsay Sale-Tinney Award with the following exception:  Travel expenses beyond the $750 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and granted when deemed necessary and feasible.

Meet our Toyota "Let's Go Places" scholarship recipients:

Anushtha Agrawal - 2019

• Pursuing M.A. in Journalism at Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY
• Passion for travel and learning about new people and places
• Accomplished writer, photographer, and video/audio host/producer
• Published in The Times of India newspaper since 2015
• Aspires to have a full-time career in video production and would also like to teach language and ethics in underdeveloped nations

Kristy Fike - 2019

• High School Senior from King George County in Virginia
• Amateur dog trainer
• Enjoys hunting for waterfowl, dove, turkey and deer
• Involved in the NWTF, Women in the Outdoors and the King George Outdoor Club where she enjoys mentoring younger people about firearms safety and other outdoors skills
• Credits in "Northern Neck Sentinel" and the Great American Wildlife website
• Eager to become a more efficient and effective communicator


Daniel Adrien - 2018

• Senior at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville
• Marketing/Environment
• Eagle Scout
• Passion for Outdoor Photography
• Avid hunter and angler
• Currently seeking employment in the outdoors industry

Ben Zino - 2018

• Freshman at NC State University
• Fisheries/Wildlife Conservation
• Films educational video for his YouTube channel
• Aspires to host a wildlife TV Show
• Thrives on teaching others about wildlife and nature
